About

01

I'm curious by nature and always looking for ways to make life a little smarter and easier through technology. I love exploring new ideas, whether it's experimenting with AI, building apps, or dreaming up projects that could one day grow into something bigger.

Outside of work, I love traveling, listening, and engaging in interesting conversations that spark new ideas. I'm passionate about helping others, and this site is a space where I share a bit of who I am and the projects I'm working on to make a positive impact.

    Trainer · 2023 JavaScript Masterclass

A few years ago I stepped into a new role: trainer at the JS Masterclass — a chance to do something I've always enjoyed, helping others learn. I dove into GraphQL not just as a technology, but as a story to tell: how it simplifies APIs, makes data fetching smarter, and empowers developers to build better applications.

Winner · Best Innovative Minds 2021

    Best Innovative Minds 2021 Winners

Best Innovative Minds is a tradition among ASSIST Software employees — everyone has a chance to win the grand prize of €1,200 and enter the Hall of Fame. In the 2021 session I was part of the winning team with a project called NFTeams, aimed at boosting employee productivity through gamification and NFTs.

Each employee has their own avatar. Taking part in adventures (company events) earns the avatar virtual currency, which can be exchanged at a marketplace for visual items of varying scarcity, extrinsic rewards, or fun prizes — like throwing a pie in a line manager's face, or getting them to buy good coffee.

Gamification items · Reward system · MS Teams bot · Social platform · Smart contracts · NFT minting & storage · Digital wallet · Internal token · Admin center · Mainnet connectivity

As a PO, Andrei is the sort of person I would have in any project, in any role. Easy to talk to, supportive, very knowledgeable, has great relationships with the rest of the dev team and the business stakeholders.

Technically speaking, he has the skills that perfectly fit in all the different stages of a challenging project: he's an active and reasonable voice when refining the business requirements, responsible and with a sense of mission on the everyday tasks, proactive to search for enhancements and always keeps the product's long term vision in sight, even when dealing with short term solutions.

But the most valuable skill for the time we've worked together has to be the ability to be on top of numerous things, even while still able to delegate some things to other team members. This vision of the product as a whole it's difficult to foster as a PO, and it helped me greatly to share some of that responsibility with the FE team lead. And even in tough times, he has always been able to keep the momentum with a smile on his (oh so tired) face.

It might look that Andrei gave me a kidney or something, which is not the case. But he gave me some peace of mind in one of the most challenging projects I've ever been. That's not a kidney, but close enough.
